OSGrid Maybe
I’m seriously thinking about moving to OpenSim and OS Grid in particular. I mean I’d still log in to SL, but maybe I will start creating only on OSGrid. I can give stuff away relatively easily there, which is actually surprisingly hard in SL just because there’s so much stuff.
I have a region running off my PC (Chavland) and I’ve started uploading most of my stuff to OSGrid to distribute there. Selling in SL is just to pay the SL bills, which I could achieve if I broke my own rule of not selling my meshes as templates. I dunno, it’s tempting. No more worrying about stuff not selling or not being in cool events. There’s a lack of pressure there, which I like.
On the downside? Living in a world with a lot of copybotted stuff and hardly any people. Missing SL and all my inventory there. The lack of quality content on the smaller grid.
I mean I can see why people stay in SL if they’re making the spacebux, but in a couple of days I’ve been drawn into OSGrid and the stuff I can do there. I did used to just give stuff away back when I was a wee Hobo, and I miss it. I’d rather people had my stuff than I had spacebux to pay bills that I only incur because I’m trying to make spacebux to pay for it. It’s kind of a cycle.

OS Grid
Been on OSGrid all day. It’s nice, there are no spacebux there and no pressure to make tier or whatever. I am makin a shop there at the moment, so look me up if you’re on that grid, I am Chav Paderborn there as well. Say Bob sent you and I will know who you speak of.

Hats!
The feeds seem to be all about the cape from Diram but I like this hat. It’s the [sYs] With Love Hunt prize, obvs. Hats are excellent even if they mean no hair.

In other news I went through my skins folder trying to find a new look, but I’m so used to Chav in Curio that nothing else looked right. Idk, I really need to actually wear some of those million skins I bought. But this one is so perfect and almost as importantly what I’ve been in while changing shape a bit.

A life live online
First of all here’s ma new house, up in the sky in Clockwork. Decorated mostly with POST, Lisp, and noctis. I may turn it into a shop if I get bored of it, but that hasn’t happened yet.
And now that bit where I list what The Chav is wearing lately:
Trousers from Kyoot, top from Schadenfrude (I think that colour was a Halloween special a while back?), hair from Exile at FaMESHed. Boots are ye olde Ribbon Boots from Shiny Things. Bolero is something I’m working on at the moment.
Skin is Curio, so there.

Basically I’ve been trying to learn mesh and mesh clothes are especially tricksy. Modelling, rigging, arg. But everything is mesh now so I have to catch up a bit. It’s that or templates and those make us all look the same a bit. But!

Los Manos Muy Grandes
As you can see, Chav has the big hands. They are size 100, because lols. But usually I notice that people in SL have tiny wee hands. What’s the proportionate setting for SL hands? How big are YOUR hands? Wouldn’t you like to have cool size 100 hands? Because you can, if you work hard in school and excercise daily.

Again!
I did that thing again where I vanish for months at a time. Welp, it happens. I return with more knowings about mesh and Blender, and I am planning on making some wee clothes. But the sizes thing puts me off, cos it feels like a lot of effort for probably no reward. Maybe I can make everyone have Chav’s shape. Except for the hands, people don’t seem to like the hands. Size 100 hands is totally valid, you!
Anyway, shall try to blog again soon with pictures of stuff.

A bish is a bish
I have transformed myself into the perfect SL blogger, with wide hips, huge nails, and a miserable face with totsy wee eyes. But I have to ask WHAT IS WITH THESE SHAPES? WHERE DO THEY COME FROM? They scare me.
